What to know
For the fifth anniversary of Series 8, Citizen has put two contrasting materials at the centre of a distinctly modern GMT. The NB6092-01E incorporates Damascus steel in its case, where layered wave-like patterns mean no two examples are exactly alike. Its dark forged-carbon dial has an equally irregular pattern, while yellow-gold-coloured steel and a black calf-leather strap frame the textures with striking contrast.
The automatic Caliber 9054 is a traveler GMT: wearers can jump the local hour hand independently in one-hour steps without disturbing the minutes, seconds or 24-hour hand. Combined with the rotating 24-hour bezel, it can follow up to three time zones. Citizen quotes about 50 hours of running time, 16,000 A/m magnetic resistance, and an average daily rate of -10 to +20 seconds under its stated test conditions.
The case measures 41mm across and 13.5mm thick, with anti-reflective sapphire crystal and 100-metre water resistance. Limited to 1,300 worldwide, the watch is scheduled for October 2026 at a projected US price of $2,200. The most compelling detail is the deliberate tension between ancient-looking patterned metal and modern carbon: a design-led expression of Citizen’s 'Heritage Meets Modern' concept.
