What to know

Italian independent watchmaker echo/neutra brings vintage chronograph styling and travel functionality together in the 1956 Chrono GMT Black & Sand. The black dial is balanced by warm sand-coloured counters, a red GMT pointer and a ceramic telemeter bezel. Its distinctive layout combines central chronograph seconds with 30-minute and 12-hour counters, plus a day/night indicator.

The 40 mm steel case measures 46 mm lug to lug and 14.8 mm thick including the domed sapphire crystal. Inside is the hand-wound Sellita SW532M b elaboré, running at 4 Hz with a stated 62-hour reserve; the brand specifies 100 metres of water resistance. Echo/neutra lists the watch at €1,970, though the product page currently shows it as sold out. This is Chronolume's first microbrand spotlight, not the watch's initial launch: the Chrono GMT family appeared in 2024 and the Black & Sand execution was covered by watch media in May 2025.
